Northumberland Estates announces new Charity of the Year

Northumberland Estates has chosen Newcastle Hospitals Charity – Teenage and Young Adult Unit as its Charity of the Year, while Syon Park has selected The Mulberry Centre. These partnerships will help raise vital funds to support young people receiving specialist cancer care, enhancing facilities and wellbeing services for patients and their families.

About Newcastle Hospitals Charity – TYA Unit

The TYA Unit provides specialist, age-appropriate care for young people aged 13 to 24 undergoing cancer treatment. Based at the Freeman Hospital, it offers a dedicated environment where patients receive high-quality clinical care alongside emotional and social support tailored to their unique needs. The unit focuses on peer support, emotional wellbeing, and helping young people maintain connections to everyday life, ensuring that treatment doesn’t mean losing out on the experiences and milestones of youth. Through our partnership, Northumberland Estates aims to raise vital funds and awareness to support the TYA Unit in delivering its life-changing care.

Syon Park has chosen The Mulberry Centre as its Charity of the Year.
