Northumberland Estates has a long history of investing in educational projects of all types and sizes, both in Alnwick and beyond.

We work with local schools, as well as charities such as The King’s Trust, to provide work experience opportunities and regularly offer apprenticeships across various departments.

In the past year, Alnwick Castle’s educational program has engaged 66 different schools and welcomed over 3,300 visitors. This program includes activities centred around history, storytelling, games, tours, talks, magic, and science.

Free Educational Visits for Local Schools

Alnwick Castle offers free educational visits to schools in the NE65 and NE66 postcodes. These visits provide pupils with engaging, hands-on learning experiences in an inspiring historic setting, with workshops covering subjects such as medieval history, art and storytelling.

Schools can find out more and book visits by contacting education@alnwickcastle.com.
