The past 18 months has seen a wide range of charities and other organisations provided with financial assistance through the recently formed Northumberland Estates' Community Fund. Resources have also been given to support a number of organisations working within the communities in which we work. Our newly published Annual Report highlights some of the 48 organisations that have received financial support ranging from sports clubs to village halls, from youth projects to those supporting the older generation, and from food banks to health and well being projects. 

Four Alnwick based charities are to receive a substantial donation from Northumberland Estates to boost funds following what has been such a difficult year.

Building work has begun on a ground-breaking housing development which seeks to revitalise a rural community by restricting sales of the new homes to primary residence buyers.

An ambitious new forestry project will see over half a million trees planted on farmland to the south of Alnwick by landowners Northumberland Estates. The mixed woodland planting will cover around 660 acres (267 hectares) in total and will create two large new areas of new forestry within a short distance of the town which will be opened up to public access in time.
