Newcastle-based homelessness charity, The People’s Kitchen, has received £23,400 from Northumberland Estates. 

A public consultation on proposals to build a premium garden centre in Alnwick has revealed support for the development.   Earlier this year, Northumberland Estates and centre operator, Blue Diamond, disclosed plans to build a brand-new, high-quality garden centre on land at Cawledge to the east of the A1 near Alnwick. 

Northumberland Estates has obtained planning permission for a solar farm in Alnwick with the potential to deliver up to 4 megawatts of renewable energy to local businesses via private wire connections. 

Northumberland Estates has revealed plans to build a new high quality garden centre on land at Cawledge to the East of the A1 in Alnwick.  The business has submitted a pre-planning submission to Northumberland County Council, and is also preparing an on-line public engagement event so that people can view and comment on the plans.
